Read, read, read. Read everything - trash, classics, good and bad, and see how they do it. Just like a carpenter who works as an apprentice and studies the master. Read! You'll absorb it. Then write. If it is good, you'll find out. If it is not, throw it out the window.

Another code entry for ya:
This is a JavaScript callback function which uses the Microsoft AJAX Library. I'm taking a JSON response and instantiating a collection of server-side Photo objects which are in turn displayed on a page as images using another custom client-control. Postback? Not on my watch, my friend, not on my watch.... :)
